thanks for unintentional read/visit my blog!lol for this entry,,i want to comment a bit about our road/tolling systems in the country.. actually, im thinking of 'old school' era where we as a citizen dont need to pay any money for the road provided by the government..during that time,,no toll were build and,,no money were being ask for us to use that road..im not saying that during those days there were totally no toll..but,,the toll that were build those days are not like the toll that is build this days..
ok..let simple up this matter..during the old days,,we can have the alternatives which is,,'jalan highway' and 'jalan lama'..for someone who dont want to pay more,,,can use the 'jalan lama' and someone that want a pleasant ride,,can use the highway..whats the difference during nowadays?the difference is,,currently,,we dont have lots of alternatives and being 'force' to use the highway that need to be pay,,,,,with the rising of the toll rate every year!!nowadays,,can we go from kajang,,to KL without paying any money?can someone tell me what are the alternatives road or jalan lama that dont need to pay?
its not only that..the matter that i want to bring up is government always said "we are a good government..we give u facilities such as road (highway) etc"...what comes in my mind is,,it is bullshit! where come they give us the facilities??everything they build, we need to pay..if the amount that need to be paid are same for every years,,i dont really mind..but,,with the increment in the toll rate every year,,,i wonder why cant they think how much the toll rate going to be after 20 years after they build it,,and wether we as a citizen can afford to pay the toll amount or not..if the rate are rise for every year,,i would rather choose not to have any highway near Kuala Lumpur such as NPE,,etc..
my suggestion to whoever that going to putrajaya on the next general election,,i hope this culture can be change..before make a toll,,,please make a review of the agreement and the toll rate that going to be handle by the citizen!! or perhaps,,a way that might can be use is,,make a tender for those that have the ability to build the highway..for example,,A is using his properties to build NPE..then,,the citizen/the users need to pay at the toll until the cost that A supply to build the highway is reach..the toll amount that need to be pay by the users,,might can be extended a bit to cover the highway maintenance for that year..(this should be implemented honestly and must be transparence)..after the build and the maintenance cost are covered,,than,,A have the right to collect money using the toll for the highway maintenance cost only + their little profit for 30 years (depend on the agreement) where the toll rate are definitely being decrease to support the highway maintenance cost only..besides,,if the maintenance cost had been covered for that month or year,,the toll will dont need to be collected anymore..
eg:
january
maintenance cost = rm9000
profit = rm3000
toll collected for 7 months = rm12000
so,,,the other 5 months,,,will be free!!
this way might can be use if the government cant afford to supply the cost to build the highway..besides,,,by using this way,,,the money that being paid by the users,,,can be use for building other highway/road in the country or other purpose which can contribute to other sector rather than give free money to the cronies!!
i notice that from the old days,,the toll system is still ok..for example,,the toll that were build at bandar tun razak area..the increment on the toll rate are not huge where the toll rate were only increased to 50cents only!! and,,where are those toll right now? it had been closed after reach the target amount!!

anyway,,what happen nowadays?can u imagine how much are the LDP got their profit through the toll in puchong??they already make a lot of profit,,but still increase their toll rate!! can u imagine how can it be this way? the government said that they cant do anything due to the agreement made..how on earth they make the agreement this way?it is a huge burden for puchong's resident when they are going to their destination..
